Refund and Return Policy

Thank you for shopping at Woke Up Like This! We strive to ensure our customers are satisfied with their purchases. If for any reason you are not completely happy with your order, we are here to help.
 

Is this your first experience with hair pieces?

Transitioning to wearing wigs and toppers can be a significant change, especially if it's your first time. It's normal to feel that there's a lot more hair than you're used to. We recommend spending some time at home wearing your new piece to get accustomed to the feel and look. Trying different styles, blending it with your natural hair, or seeking opinions from trusted friends can also help you adjust. Remember, a bit of time and patience can make a big difference in how you feel about your new look.
 

Returns

If you would like to return your item, please notify us at info@wokeuplikethis.co.uk within 7 days of receipt. You then have a further 5 days to ship your item back for a refund, minus 15% restocking fee. 
 

To receive a refund, the piece must not be altered in any way. You must return the topper/wig in the exact same condition as it was received (including the box and all other components). This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Not washing, changing the part, using heat tools, cutting, using hair products, or using dyes.

  • If your piece has a lace front, do not cut the lace until you’re certain that you are keeping it. If the lace is cut, the item is no longer eligible for a refund.

  • Do not alter the base in any way. Do not alter or remove the clips or wig comb.

  • Ensure the piece is packaged in its protective silk bag with all clips closed. Do not fold the base of the topper/wig in half as this will damage the cap and a return will not be granted.
     

Custom and Sale Items

Custom orders are non-refundable and non-returnable as the piece has been created for the client’s specific needs. If you chose to have your topper or wig custom cut (length, layers, bangs, etc.) prior to shipping, your item is not eligible for a return or refund. Similarly, any sale items cannot be exchanged or refunded.
 

Shipping, Customs, and VAT Fees

  • All packages sent by Woke Up Like This are sent with the assurance of “signature upon delivery.” You will be sent a tracking number via email after shipment. In most situations, the post will notify the recipient of the location for parcel pick-up or to arrange a redelivery if the buyer is not available when the parcel arrives. Woke Up Like This is not responsible for missing or damaged packages if the parcel is lost in the destination country.

  • Customers will be responsible for customs regulations (import/export taxes) in their country. Therefore, please inform yourself about your country’s custom tax and VAT regulations.

  • If you are returning a parcel, it is your responsibility to send the parcel with an insured, tracked, and signed service. Woke Up Like This cannot take any responsibility if the parcel is lost, damaged, or missing during transportation.

  • If you are an international customer, you must complete the customs declaration form correctly. You must indicate that it is a ‘returned product to the retailer.’ Should Woke Up Like This be charged for any tax/customs duties or any other incurring fees upon its arrival to the UK, it will be deducted from your refund (in addition to the 15% restock fee).

  • Upon reception, your piece will be inspected, and the return will be accepted provided that the following conditions are met:

    • The piece must be in the same condition that you received it, with no alterations including change of the part, heat application, cut, color, styling, washing, clips/comb modifications, or any hair products use.

    • It must also be in its original packaging.

    • Brush the topper or wig, close the clips, and place the net appropriately before sending your item.

    • The item must be odor-free. If the returned piece has any odor, it will automatically be ineligible for a return.

Should the item not meet the previously mentioned conditions, Woke Up Like This reserves the right to refuse the refund/exchange, and the product will be sent back at the customer’s expense.
 

Shipping Instructions

  1. Email us at info@wokeuplikethis.co.uk and request the return details.

  2. You will receive the shipping instructions via email. Please wait for our reply before placing the return.

  3. All items must be shipped with a tracked, signed, and insured service within 3 calendar days (including weekends and holidays) from the reception date.

  4. The customer is responsible for any return postage, and a trackable service is strongly advised to ensure that the package arrives safely. Woke Up Like This cannot be responsible for any returns that go missing. The customer will be required to open a claim with the shipping courier for their loss should a package go missing. For this reason, it is recommended to insure the item for the full value.

  5. It is helpful if you provide us with tracking details so we can check on the parcel's delivery date. This may speed up our receipt of the item and your receipt of a refund.

  6. If posting back a return from outside of the UK, your customs declaration must be marked ‘returned goods’ or ‘return to sender’ in the relevant section. This is to ensure Woke Up Like This is not charged customs duties for your return. If Woke Up Like This is contacted prior to delivery to pay customs duties, the parcel will be rejected and shipped back to you.

  7. Any customs duties that are charged on the parcel after receipt due to incorrectly declaring the parcel will be deducted from your refund.
     

Refund Processing

Once the return has arrived, please allow 5 working days for your return to be processed. Once processed, you will receive a confirmation email of your return. Refunds can take between 5-15 business days to be returned to your bank account depending on your country/card processor.
